Welcome to Spatly! In this tutorial, you'll create your first map project from scratch.
Step 1: Create a New Project
Click the "New Project" button on your dashboard. Enter a name and optional description. Choose "Editor" as your project type for a standard mapping project.
Step 2: Navigate the Editor
The editor has three main areas: - Left sidebar — Layer management, surveys, and stories - Center — The interactive map canvas - Top toolbar — Drawing tools, selection tools, and zoom controls
Step 3: Add Your First Layer
Click the "+" button in the layers panel. Name your layer (e.g., "Points of Interest") and select a layer type — Point, Line, or Polygon.
Step 4: Draw on the Map
Select a drawing tool from the toolbar: - Pin tool — Click to place individual points - Line tool — Click to draw a path, double-click to finish - Polygon tool — Click to draw an area, double-click to close
Step 5: Style Your Layer
Click on a layer to expand its style options. Adjust fill color, stroke color, opacity, and point radius. Your changes save automatically.
Step 6: Share Your Map
Click the "Share" button in the toolbar. Toggle "Public" to make your map accessible via a shareable link. You can also embed it in any website using the embed code.
Congratulations! You've created your first Spatly map.
